1887-02-12 (recorded): Source:Friendship-park-plan has "Myron Alley" from Edmond Street to Gross Street and "Mound Ay" from Myron Alley to Corday Alley. This plan does not show Friendship Park.

1893-10-12: Source:Ordinance-1893-1894-286 approved, confirmed and located "Unnamed alley, from Corday alley to Comrie alley, between Fitch street and Gross street," from "Dr. A. H. Gross' plan of lots, Twentieth ward, approved by Councils May 31, 1869, and recorded in Street Plan Book, pages 5 and 6, Bureau of Engineering and Surveys, City of Pittsburgh."

1894-04: Source:Friendship-park-rev-plan includes Friendship Park (labeled "Friendship Place"). "Mound Ay" runs from Corday Alley to unnamed 15-foot alley, which runs only from Mound Alley to Fitch Street.

1894-05-17

  • Source:Ordinance-1894-1895-35 vacated Myron Alley from Gross Street to Edmond Street, "as located in Dr. A. H. Gross' plan of streets, Twentieth ward, approved by Councils May 31, 1869, and an Ordinance approving, confirming and locating the streets, avenues and alleys in said plan, approved October 12, 1893."

1894-06-19: Source:Ordinance-1894-1895-94 amended Ordinance no. 36 to vacate only the northernmost 25 feet of Mound Alley (southward from Myron Alley).

1900-02-28: Source:Ordinance-1899-1900-422 vacated Myron Alley from Mathilda Street to Millvale Avenue, "as located upon the plan of Friendship Park, as recorded in the Recorder's Office of Allegheny County, in Plan Book, volume 7, page 257."

1910-04-05: Source:Ordinance-1909-1910-715

1968-10-01: Source:Ordinance-1968-508 vacated Corday Way from Millvale Avenue to Gross Street and Mend Way from Corday Way to a point 57.83 feet northwardly therefrom, with the agreement that the Western Pennsylvania Hospital should dedicate property for a new public highway to provide a southerly exit for the remaining portion of Mend Way.

1977-09-28: Eleanor Chute, "Planners OK hospital expansion," Pittsburgh Press, p. A-8 (Newspapers.com 142947450): "The commission, responding to residents' concerns raised in a hearing two weeks ago, said the hospital would have to open Mend Way at the beginning of construction and keep it open for residents."

1978-08-31: Source:Resolution-1978-1000 accepted the dedication of property for the relocation of Mend Way.

1979-03-08: Source:Resolution-1979-231 vacated the portion of Mend Way dedicated the previous year.
