ACCEPTING the dedication of property for public highway purposes for the relocation of Mend Way in the Eighth Ward of the City of Pittsburgh, and opening and naming the same.
WHEREAS, the Western Pennsylvania Hospital has dedicated to the City of Pittsburgh a portion of its property for public highway purposes and recorded in D. B. Volume 5543, Page 32, and
WHEREAS, it is desired that the City of Pittsburgh accept said relocation of Mend Way as part of the City's system of public highways, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PITTSBURGH AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the dedication of property for public highway purposes for the relocation of Mend Way in the Eighth Ward of the City of Pittsburgh shall be and the same is hereby accepted according to the following description, to wit:
Beginning at a point on the westerly line of Mend Way, said point being North 6° 37′ 30″ East, of [sic] distance of 52.26 feet from the northerly line of Corday Way as vacated; thence North 83° 22′ 30″ West for a distance of 115.11 feet to a point on the easterly line of South Millvale Avenue; thence along said easterly line North 6° 37′ 30″ East for a distance of 20.00 feet to a point; thence South 83° 22′ 30″ East for a distance of 115.11 feet to a point on the westerly line of Mend Way; thence South 6° 37′ 30″ West for a distance of 20.00 feet to the place of beginning, for public highway purposes.
SECTION 2. That portion of Mend Way, as aforesaid dedicated to said City for public highway purposes, shall be and the same is hereby opened as a public highway of the City of Pittsburgh and is hereby named Mend Way.
SECTION 3. Any Resolution or Ordinance or part thereof conflicting with the provisions of this Resolution is hereby repealed so far as the same affects this Resolution.
