Neighborhood | Squirrel Hill North |
A proposed ordinance locating Solway Street from Shady Avenue to Murdoch Street (today Murdoch Road) was introduced in Select Council on July 1, 1889, and referred to the Committee on Surveys,[1] but apparently it died in committee, as there is no record of any subsequent action.
Solway Street appears in the 1890 McCombs Grove plan and the 1890 Hopkins atlas.[2][3] Its location from Wightman Street to Shady Avenue was established by an ordinance in 1893.[4]
