Planet Street

From Pittsburgh Streets
Planet Street
Neighborhoods Elliott, West End
Pine Street (until 1881)

This street appears as Pine Street in R. E. McGowin's 1852 map.[1] It was renamed Planet Street in 1881 to fix the duplication with Pine Street on the South Side.[2]

Bob Regan includes "Planet" in a list of astronomy-related street names.[3]
