Oasis Street

From Pittsburgh Streets
Oasis Street
Neighborhood Upper Lawrenceville
Fate Vacated in 1899

Oasis Street formerly ran from Berlin Alley (today Berlin Way) north to Harrison Street as a continuation of Oasis Way. It was laid out in 1873 in a plan of lots by C. Siebert, P. Keil, and John Siebert, though that plan did not give it a name.[1] The name Oasis Street was officially established by a city ordinance in 1881.[2]

Oasis Street was vacated in 1899 in response to a petition by the Carnegie Steel Company.[3][4]
