Maromas Street

From Pittsburgh Streets
Maromas Street
Neighborhood Squirrel Hill South
Milroy Street (until 1910)

This street formerly ran below and parallel to Kemper Street. It was laid out as Milroy Street in 1903 in the Boulevard plan.[1] In 1910, three years after Pittsburgh annexed Allegheny City,[2] it was renamed Maromas Street to fix the duplication with Milroy Street on the North Side.[3] Its grade was established by a city ordinance in 1932.[4]

Maromas Street does not exist today, though it seems never to have been officially vacated.
