Harwood Street
Neighborhood Mount Washington
Origin of name Harmon and Wood, real estate developers

Harwood Street was laid out in 1903 in the Grandview plan by Clifford B. Harmon.[1]

Harmon had previously laid out a street named Harwood Avenue in the 1891 Sheraden Terrace plan and the 1893 Melrose plan,[2][3] which became modern Hammond Street and part of Hillsboro Street. The name Harwood was coined from the names of Harmon and his business partner Wood.
