Dill Way (Mount Washington)

This alley appears as Dill Alley in the 1882 Hopkins atlas.[1] It became Dill Way in 1914 when a city ordinance changed all alleys to ways.[2]
In 1910, three years after the annexation of Allegheny into the City of Pittsburgh, over 900 streets were renamed in order to fix duplicates. One Dill Alley on the North Side was renamed Doll Alley (today Doll Way), and nearby Dill Street was made part of Sedgwick Street. But there was another Dill Alley on the North Side that was missed,[3][4] and as a result there is a different Dill Way in Marshall-Shadeland.
