A street named Brightwood Street, running from Forbes Avenue to Bryson Street (today Darlington Road), was officially located by a city ordinance in 1886.[1] However, when Schenley Park was established three years later, the land for this street fell entirely within the grounds of the park, so the street was never built. The 1886 ordinance was repealed in 1915.[2]
