Woodland Road is a private road owned and maintained by the Woodland Road Association, whose members are Chatham University and the owners of residential property fronting on the road. The association was formed in 1870 and originally constructed Woodland Road from Fifth Avenue to what is now called the Wye, where West Woodland Road diverges from Woodland Road. The extension of Woodland Road to Wilkins Avenue was built in 1907.[1]
