This alley was laid out as Mascot Alley in 1905 in the plan of the Second Ward of Brookline.[1] This name was officially established as a Pittsburgh street name in 1909.[2] It became Mascot Way in 1914, when a city ordinance changed all alleys in Pittsburgh to ways.[3]
