Madonna Street was laid out by Augustus P. Black in December 1919 in the Marian Place plan.[1] Black was a Catholic priest who served as the pastor of Our Lady of the Most Blessed Sacrament Church on Frankstown Avenue for more than 44 years.[2][3] The name of the street, Madonna, is a title of Mary, mother of Jesus, as was the name of the church.
