This street was laid out as Catherine Street, with a C, in the City Savings Bank's Columbia Park plan, recorded in 1891.[1] It appears in the 1890 Hopkins atlas.[2] The spelling Katherine Street, with a K, was officially established by a Pittsburgh city ordinance in 1910.[3]
