Henry Street (California-Kirkbride)

Henry Street formerly ran along the southeastern corner of Union Dale Cemetery. It was laid out in 1849, according to a plan of lots by George Breed recorded in 1866.[1] It appears in the 1872 Hopkins atlas.[2]
Allegheny City was annexed by Pittsburgh in 1907.[3] Henry Street was still drawn and labeled in the 1910 Hopkins atlas,[4] but it was not listed in a Pittsburgh city ordinance that year that officially established the names of all streets in the city.[5] It was probably missed by the city clerks who compiled the list; if it had been spotted, it would have been renamed, because it conflicted with Henry Street in North Oakland.
Henry Street does not exist today. It is unclear exactly when it disappeared. It is drawn but not labeled in the 1925 Hopkins atlas,[6] but it does not appear in the 1953 map by Alexander Gross.[7]
