This alley was laid out as Glen Alley in the 1905 Brookline plan.[1]
West Liberty Borough, including most of modern Brookline, was annexed by Pittsburgh in 1908.[2] The following year a city ordinance renamed many streets and alleys in the former borough to fix duplications. Pittsburgh had a Glenn Alley in Bloomfield (today Glenn Way), so Glen Alley in old West Liberty Borough was changed to Good Alley.[3]
It became Good Way in 1914, when another ordinance changed all alleys in Pittsburgh to ways.[4]
