Douglas Street
Neighborhood Squirrel Hill South
Origin of name Maybe T. H. Douglas

The portion of Douglas Street from Murray Avenue to Shady Avenue was located by a city ordinance in 1899[1] and dedicated by the owners of the property abutting the street four months later.[2]

It may be named for T. H. Douglas, whose land is shown in the 1872 Hopkins atlas to the southeast of the modern intersection of Douglas Street and Beechwood Boulevard.[3]
