Deary Street

From Pittsburgh Streets
Deary Street
Neighborhood Lincoln-Lemington-Belmar

A petition to open Deary Avenue was presented to the Pittsburgh Common Council in 1880.[1] The street name was officially established as Deary Street by a city ordinance in 1881.[2][3]

The street appears as "Dairy Street" in the 1882 Hopkins atlas. This is just a misspelling; the intersecting Montezuma Street is also misspelled "Montezerna St."[4]
