Belinda Street

From Pittsburgh Streets
Belinda Street
Neighborhood Middle Hill
Benton Street (until 1881)

This street was laid out as Benton Street in 1851 in a plan of lots by William Porter.[1][2]

In 1910, three years after the annexation of Allegheny City, a Pittsburgh city ordinance renamed over 900 streets to fix duplicates. Benton Street in the Hill District conflicted with Benton Avenue in Brighton Heights, so it was renamed Belinda Street.[3]
