This alley was laid out as Oldfield Alley in 1892 in a plan of lots by William Duckham.[1][2]
Oldfield Alley became Oldfield Way in 1914, when a city ordinance changed all alleys in Pittsburgh to ways.[3]
Oldfield Way was renamed Amelia Way in 1915.[4]
