This street, along the bank of the Ohio River, appears as Ohio Street in the 1882 Hopkins atlas.[1] It was renamed Ogden Street by an Allegheny city ordinance in 1896 to fix the duplication with Ohio Street in the center of Allegheny.[2] Ogden Street was renamed Oxline Street by a Pittsburgh city ordinance in 1910.[3]
