McKnight Road

From Pittsburgh Streets
McKnight Road
Neighborhoods Perry North, Summer Hill
Origin of name Probably John McKnight

A road in the location of modern McKnight Road north of its intersection with Babcock Boulevard at Girtys Run appears in maps of Allegheny County as early as 1851.[1][2][3] These maps also show, on this road, the house of John McKnight, at the location of the modern North Hills Village.[1][2][3] It seems likely that this is the source of the road's name.
