McKeever Avenue was laid out in the City Savings Bank's Columbia Park plan, recorded in 1891.[1] It appears in the 1890 Hopkins atlas.[2]
It is named for R. McKeever, who had owned the land on which the Columbia Park plan was laid out.[3][4] McKeever's name appears on maps as early as 1852.[5][6]
