Kedron Street was first laid out in 1898 in the Kedron plan of lots.[1] The street and the plan may be named for the Kidron Valley on the east side of Jerusalem, mentioned a number of times in the Bible, of which Kedron is a variant spelling.
The portion of Kedron Street east of Lang Avenue was laid out in 1899 in the Homewood Driving Park plan.[2]
