Greenfield Road

Greenfield Road | |
---|---|
Neighborhood | Squirrel Hill South |
Origin of name | Greenfield Avenue |
Greenfield Road, in Schenley Park, was named by a city ordinance in 1936.[1] It is a continuation of Greenfield Avenue across the Greenfield Bridge, both of which are named for the neighborhood of Greenfield. Greenfield Road was probably named directly for Greenfield Avenue: compare Bartlett Road, Hobart Road, and Pocusset Drive, also in Schenley Park, which were named by the same ordinance for the streets they continued.
