This alley appears, unlabeled, in maps and plans of lots from the 1870s and early 1880s, though none give it a name.[1][2][3][4][5] It was named Felicia Alley by a city ordinance in 1881.[6] It became Felicia Way in 1914 when another ordinance changed all alleys in Pittsburgh to ways.[7]
