Engleside Avenue

From Pittsburgh Streets
Engleside Avenue
Neighborhood Garfield

Engleside Avenue was first laid out in the Englewood plan of lots in 1924.[1] This plan was approved, and Engleside Avenue was officially named, by a Pittsburgh city ordinance the following year.[2] Engleside Avenue was extended to the north and east in the Englewood plan no. 2 in 1927,[3] approved by an ordinance in 1928.[4]

Engleside Avenue was partially vacated in 1964.[5]

The current street sign at Atlantic Avenue says "Engleside St," but the official name of the street is Engleside Avenue.
