Desdemona Avenue was first laid out in 1925 in a plan of lots by T. J. Ingram;[1] he revised this plan in 1929.[2] A city ordinance in 1930 officially approved the 1929 plan, accepted the dedication of its streets, and opened and named the streets, including Desdemona Avenue.[3]
