Apple Street (until 1908)

This street was laid out as Apple Street in 1892 in the Sheraden Land & Improvement Company's addition to the Sheraden Terrace plan.[1] After Sheraden Borough was annexed by Pittsburgh in 1907,[2] this name conflicted with that of Apple Street in the East End, so it was renamed Adena Street by a city ordinance the following year.[3]
