Virgin Alley (1893–1905)

This alley was laid out as Plum Alley in 1883 in a plan of lots by T. P. Hersberger et al.[1]

It was changed to Virgin Alley by an Elliott borough ordinance in 1893.[2][3]

Elliott Borough was annexed by Pittsburgh in January 1905.[4] That May, a Pittsburgh city ordinance renamed many streets and alleys in the former borough, and Virgin Alley became Valier Way.[5]
