The {{sic}} template marks an error that is copied faithfully from a source.
When used alone, it simply produces "[sic]". It can be used with arguments to better demarcate the error and explain what the correct reading should be.
Usage examples

- {{sic|Shakspeare}} → Shakspeare [sic]
- {{sic|Cooked|Crooked}} → Cooked [sic]
