- Source:Hopkins-1886 shows Peoples Plank Road; the part south of today's Ivory Avenue is just labeled "Plank Road", though. What was the relationship between Peoples Plank Road and Evergreen Plank Road? Today Evergreen Road becomes Peoples Road beyond the city limits.

- Source:Ordinance-1929-710: "Peoples Plank Road [from] North line former Reserve Township [to] City Line [changed to] Evergreen Road."
- Source:Thompson: "Shortly after the Hamlet was organized, . . . . A charter was obtained for a plank road which was later built, and the inhabitants of Evergreen Hamlet commuted to Pittsburgh every working day by carriage to Bennett's Station in Millvale and then by train to the city." But Millvale is in the wrong direction for the Evergreen Plank Road.
