Origin of name State of Indiana

This alley appears, unlabeled, in the 1882 Hopkins atlas, perpendicular to Michigan Avenue (today part of Mayflower Street).[1] It is named Indiana Alley in the 1890 edition.[2] It is named for the state of Indiana.[3]
