Bucheous Way

Buckeous Alley (with a K) was laid out in a plan subdividing the estate of Phebe A. Phillips, recorded in 1896.[1][2] The name was officially renamed Bucheous Alley (with an H), probably by mistake, by a 1910 city ordinance that established the names of all thoroughfares in Pittsburgh.[3] It then became Bucheous Way in 1914, when a city ordinance changed all alleys in Pittsburgh to ways.[4]
The streets and alleys in Phillips' plan were never built or opened, and they were all vacated by an ordinance in 1926.[5]
