Zuzu Circle

From Pittsburgh Streets
(Redirected from Bailey Park Avenue)
Zuzu Circle
Neighborhood Allentown
Origin of name Maybe Zuzu Bailey, a character in It's a Wonderful Life
Bailey Park Avenue (until 2021)
Origin of name Bailey Park plan of lots, named for Bailey Avenue

This street was originally laid out as Bailey Park Avenue in 2012 in the Bailey Park plan of lots.[1] The name of this plan comes from nearby Bailey Avenue.

When the street was dedicated to the city in 2021, its name was changed to Zuzu Circle.[2] It may be named for Zuzu Bailey, the youngest daughter of the main character George Bailey in the 1946 film It's a Wonderful Life. The name Bailey, shared by this character and the plan of lots, strengthens this association.

Zuzu Circle is the alphabetically last street name in Pittsburgh.
