Template:Year-range

The {{year-range}} template formats a year range. It takes two optional parameters:

• from gives the beginning year;
• to gives the end year.

Alternatively, the floruit parameter can be specified, which will simply be passed through if neither from nor to is specified. This parameter works best with the {{circa}} template.

Usage examples

• {{year-range|from=1868|to=1875}} → 1868–1875
• {{year-range|from={{circa|1815}}|to=1874}} → ca. 1815 – 1874
• {{year-range|from=1784|to={{circa|1862}}}} → 1784 – ca. 1862
• {{year-range|from=1868}} → since 1868
• {{year-range|to=1910}} → until 1910
• {{year-range|from=1868|to=1868}} → 1868
• {{year-range|floruit={{circa|1856}}}} → ca. 1856
