Template:Minor redirect

From Pittsburgh Streets
The {{minor redirect}} template should be included on redirects that are not important enough to be categorized in Category:Streets or its subcategories (which act as an index). This includes but is not necessarily limited to the following:
  • Redirects from only slightly different names, e.g., all the alleys that redirect to the corresponding way.
  • Redirects from spelling mistakes or minor variants.
  • Redirects like Beechwood Boulevard (Washington Boulevard), in the case when one street was formerly part of another street that still exists.
  • Redirects like 42nd Street (41st Street), for the numbered streets above 40th, which were misnumbered for less than a month in 1868. These are confusing redirects which are not worth indexing.
This template adds the redirect to Category:Minor street redirects.
