Template:Fams-ark/doc

The {{fams-ark}} template creates a FamilySearch ARK, which is a persistent identifier for a resource on the FamilySearch website. Supposedly several kinds of resources are supported, but this template can only produce an ARK for a person in the FamilySearch family tree.

This template takes one anonymous argument: the person's identifier.

There is a frustrating lack of documentation about the format of these ARKs. The "Persistent Identifiers" documentation gives one example but doesn't explain the format.
