Tokio Street Residents Wish Change to 'Tokay'
Taking into account everything which has happened since early December, "Tokio" just does not seem to be the right name for a well-known Thirteenth ward street, according to Richard O. Fruehauff. In a letter to council yesterday he suggested that it be changed to "Tokay."
The writer explained that the Brushton street is adjacent to "Sunny Hills," on which the "sweet blue grape" grows. Council, motivated by the letter, plus its own patriotic views, will give consideration to the proposal in finance committee session today.
