SHERIFF'S SALES.

SHERIFF'S SALES.—By virtue of sundry executions issued out of the District Court and Court of Common Ppeas [sic] of Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, and to the Sheriff of said county directed, there will be exposed to Public Sale, at the Court House, in the City of Pittsburgh, in said county, on MONDAY, the 27th day of April, A. D., 1863, at 10 o'clock a. m., the following described real estate, to wit:

All the right, title, interest and claim of the defendant, Edward McQuaid, of, in and to all those three certain lots of ground situated in the Second Ward of the city of Allegheny, county of Allegheny, and State of Pennsylvania, numbered 254, 255 and 256 in William Robinson, Jr.'s plan, called Buena Vista, (said plan is recorded in the Recorder's Office for said county of Allegheny, in plan book vol. 2, part 1, page 61,) and together described as follows, to wit: Commencing on the north side of Taylor avenue, at the corner of lot No. 253 in said plan; thence extending along said Taylor avenue in a westwardly direction sixty feet to corner of lot No. 257 in said plan; thence extending back in a northwardly direction, preserving the same width, one hundred and two feet to Campbell's line. Each of said lots has a front of twenty feet on said Taylor avenue, and extend back from said avenue one hundred and two feet, preserving the same width, to Campbell's line. On lot No. 254 there is a two-story brick house with four rooms; and cattle sheds upon Nos. 255 and 256 in said plan.

Seized and taken in execution as the property of Edward McQuaid, at the suit of John Ramsey.

ALSO,

All the right, title, interest and claim of the defendant, Benjamin Herr, now in the hands of his Executors, with notice, &c., of, in and to all that certain piece of ground in the city of Pittsburgh, Allegheny county, commonwealth of Pennsylvania, situated on Market street, and containing in front on Market street seventeen feet, more or less, and in depth back to Union street, (being the same property the Assignees of James Gormley, by deed dated the 25th day of February, 1835 conveyed to the said Benjamin Herr, and which the said Benjamin Herr afterwards, to wit: on the 11th day of July, 1835 by mortgage deed of that date recorded in the Recorder's Office of said Allegheny county, in book 4, page 100, mortgage to George H. Mueller, to secure the payment of two thousand five hundred dollars, &c

Seized and taken in execution as the property of Benjamin Herr, deceased, now in the hands of his executors, with notice, &c., at the suit of George H. Mueller.

ALSO,

All the right, title, interest and claim of the defendant, Thomas W. Rogers, of, in and to all that certain tract or piece of ground situated in the Borough of Lawrenceville, being lots Nos 15 and 16 in the plan of lots in the Borough of Lawrenceville laid out for R. L. Ewalt, Esq., by J. Chislett, Jr., recorded in plan book vol. 2, page 131, and bounded and described as follows, to wit: Beginning at a point on Bellefonte street, at the distance of one hundred and twenty-nine feet and three inches from the corner of said Bellefonte street and Lewis alley, running thence northwardly along said Bellefonte street forty-eight feet to a pin, the corner common to lots Nos. 16 and 17 in said plan, running thence northwardly along said lot No. 17 one hundred feet to Long alley; running thence southwardly along said Long alley forty-eight feet to a pin, corner common to lot No. 14 and 15 in said plan, and running thence southeastwardly along the line of said lot No. 14 one hundred feet to Bellefonte street, the place of beginning; being the same tract or piece of ground which R. L. Ewalt, the party of the second part hereto conveyed to the said Thomas W. Rogers, by deed bearing even date, this mortgage being given to secure the payment of the purchase money—on which is erected a small one-story frame carpenter shop.

Seized and taken in execution as the property of Thomas W. Rogers, at the suit of Richard L. Ewalt.

All the right, title, interest and claim of the defendant, the heirs of David McMillen, deceased, to wit: Wm. Irwin, Mary Graham, Wm. T. Dunn, guardian of Catharine Irwin, George Irwin and Ida Irwin, and Robert Watson, guardian of Wm. J. Counor and John M. Counor, to wit: All that certain lot in the city of Pittsburgh, situated on the corner of Diamond street and Cherry alley, and described as follows, viz: Beginning at the corner of Diamond street and Cherry alley; thence along Diamond street towards Smithfield street twenty feet; thence parallel with Cherry alley towards Fourth street one hundred and twenty-one feet; thence parallel with Diamond street twenty feet to Cherry alley; thence along Cherry alley one hundred and twenty-one feet to the place of beginning.

Seized and taken in execution as the property of the heirs of David McMillin, deceased, at the suit of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, for use.

ALSO,

All the right, title, interest and claim of the defendant, Lourimore Wilson, a non-resident and impleaded, &c., of, in and to that certain lot of ground situated in the Fifth ward of the city of Pittsburgh, on the corner of Washington street and Mulberry alley, and extending from Washington street along Mulberry alley a distance of about 76 feet to property of Sellers & Nichols, and in width or depth from Mulberry alley a distance of about thirty-four feet to property lately owned by Dr. Hartford, and having thereon erected six two story brick dwelling houses fronting on said alley, the interest of said defendant being the undivided two-fourths thereof, as conveyed to him by Standish Peppard and wife and John Peppard, by deed dated March 5, 1855, recorded in deed book vol. 116, page 419.

Seized and taken in execution as the property of Lourimore Wilson, at the suit of George W. Coffin.

ALSO,

All the right, title, interest and claim of the defendant, Andrew Osengat, of, in and to all that certain lot or piece of ground situated in Pitt township, Allegheny county, containing in front on Centre avenue twenty-four feet, and extending back, preserving the same width, one hundred and twenty feet to Mahm street, and being lot No. 98 in a plan of lots laid out by the trustees of John D. Mahm and wife.

Seized and taken in execution as the property of Andrew Osengat, at the suit of Robert Robb, for use of John Cavanagh.

ALSO,

All the right, title, interest and claim of the defendant, Catharine Arnold, deceased, now in the hands of her administrator, Ludwig Meissel, of, in and to lots Nos. 1, 2 and 3, in Robert Arthurs' plan in Reserve township, Allegheny county; on which are erected a one story frame house and plank shop and stable. Also, lots Nos. 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27 and 28, in said plan.

Seized and taken in execution as the property of Catharine Arnold, deceased, now in the hands of her administrator, Ludwig Meissel, at the suit of Robert Arthurs, for self and for use of John Linton and R. J. Smith.

ALSO,

All the right, title, interest and claim of the defendants, George R. Riddle, John C. Coleman and Wilson F. Packer, of, in and to all that certain tract of land, containing coal called the Burnside tract, situated in Robinson township, Allegheny county, bounded by lands of McFarland's heirs, John and James Nichol, Matthew Harbison and Wm. McCormick, containing 112 acres and 102 perches, particularly described in a deed from W. Remington to said company, recorded in the office for recording of deeds in said county, in vol. 91, page 165, (excepting therefrom a lot of ground containing about two acres sold to H. Dinkelberg;) on which are erected a log house and barn.

Also, All that other certain piece of ground containing coal called the M'Cormick tract situated in Robinson township, Allegheny county, bounded by lands of McFarland's heirs, McCoy's heirs, the Burnside tract and Samuel McCurdy, containing 140 acres two roods 8 3-10 perches, described in the aforesaid vol. 91, page 167, (excepting therefrom a lot of ground sold to S. B. Mark,) which said tract embraces the village of Remington of twenty-three frame houses, with coal mines and works, and a two story wooden frame house and barn.

Also, All that certain tract of land situated in Robinson township, Allegheny county, containing coal called the Mark's tract, adjoining lands of ⸻ Edmundson and Philips, Samuel Riddle, Jas. Robinson and others, containing 215 acres, described in a deed from Wm. Marks to said company, recorded in the aforesaid vol. —, page 169, (excepting therefrom a lot of about two acres conveyed to Dr. Wm. Gray by deed recorded in deed book vol. 104, page 321.)

Also, All that piece of land called the McKee tract situated in Robinson township, county and State aforesaid, bunded [sic] by lands of Alexander McKee and the Ohio river, and containing 8 acres, described in a deed from W. Remington and wife to said company, recorded in the aforesaid volume 91, page 173; on which are erected five frame dwelling houses and harbor improvements.

Also, All that other certain piece of land containing ten acres lying on the Ohio river about McKee's Rocks and adjoining the 8 acres above described.

Also, A piece of ground of the width of twenty-five feet, commencing on the south western end of said ten acres, and extending therefrom to a white oak in McKee's upper line near Chartiers creek, with the privilege of erecting, constructing and maintaining thereon a railroad for the transportation of coal, &c., the interest of said company therein being a leasehold for twenty years from the 1st of April, 1848, subject to a ground rent of $500 a year until April 1st, 1858, thenceforth $800 a year; on which piece of land are erected a coal tipple, railroad, wharf, office, engine shed, weigh house, scale and harbor and other improvements, said premises and privileges being more particularly described and defined in a lease from Alexander McKee to Z. W. Remington, recorded in vol. 82, page 386, in the Recorder's office aforesaid and the assignment thereof to said company vol. 91, page 177.

Also, All that other piece of land containing coal called the Irwin tract, situated in Robinson township, in the county and State aforesaid, bounded by the lands of Sam'l McCurdy, Aikin's heirs, Lewis Thornsburgh's heirs and J. H. Davis' heirs, containing 88 acres 119 perches; on which are erected a mansion house and barn described in a deed from John Irwin and wife, to Z. W. Remington, recorded in the Recorder's office aforesaid in vol. 93, page 332, (excepting therefrom a lot of ground of about thirteen acres conveyed to John Graham by deed recorded in said county, in deed book vol. 102, page 204, and one of two acres conveyed to Richard Morgan by deed recorded as aforesaid in vol. 100, page 600.

Also, All the veins and strata of coal in that certain other tract of land called Edmundson tract, adjoining lands of William Marks and the Pittsburgh and Steubenville road, and containing 94 acres and 62 perches of coal; and,

Also, All the veins and mines of coal in that other piece adjoining the above, containing 106 perches of coal, with the right of making and extending any railroad or roads, entries and passages through and upon the adjoining lands of Jos. Edmundson, and all the necessary privileges and fixtures, and right of going and coming which may be suitable for mining and transporting the coal, described and defined in a deed of Z. W. Remington and wife to said company, recorded in said vol. 91, page 175.

Also, All that railroad and construction known as the Chartiers Coal Company, railroad exteding [sic] from the Ohio river to the village of Remington, being about seven miles in length, together with the materials, fixtures, equipments, engines, cars, tenders, appurtenances, privileges and incidents thereof, lying southwardly of the first mentioned tract, and right and privileges of opening mouths for ventilation and drains for draining the coal pits upon the surface of said tracts or any of the adjoining lands of Joseph Edmundson.

Seized and taken in execution as the property of George Riddle, John C. Coleman and Wilson F. Packer, at the suit of McClurkan, Herron & Co.

ALSO,

All the right, title, interest and claim of the defendant Thomas Mackeral, of, in and to all that certain tract of land situated in Franklin township, in the county of Allegheny, bounded and described as follows, viz: Bounded on the north by lot No. 99 in Nicholson's district of deprication [sic] lands, and extending from the Post corner of lots Nos. 99 and 102 one hundred and sixty-one perches to a pin-oak; thence along lot No. 104 a sufficient distance to include one hundred acres and allownances [sic]; and thence parallel with the first line, through the original tract, to lot No. 102, and containing one hundred acres and allowances of six per cent. for roads, and being the northeast end or part of lot No. 103 in Nicholson's district aforesaid; whereon are erected a dwelling house and large barn and spring house—a large portion of the land cultivated, a good orchard and abundance of good timber.

Seized and taken in execution as the property of Thomas Mackerel, at the suit of Alexander Potts, Margaret Potts and Ellen Potts.

ALSO,

All the right, title, interest and claim of the defendant, Samuel Lowry, of, in and to all those two certain lots or pieces of ground numbered ten and twelve, situated in Lower St. Clair township, and bounded and described as follows, viz: Lot No. ten beginning at the corner of Shaler and High streets; thence along High street forty feet to lot No. 11; thence extending back at right angles to High street one hundred and twenty feet to lot No. 22; thence parallel with High street forty feet to Shaler street, and thence along Shaler street one hundred and twenty feet to the place of beginning; and No. 12 beginning on the continuation of High street at the distance of eighty feet from Shaler street; thence westwardly along High street forty feet; thence southwardly parallel with Shaler street one hundred and twenty feet to lot No. 22; thence along the same eastwardly forty feet to lot No. 11, and thence by the same parallel with Shaler street one hundred and twenty feet to the place of beginning; being the same which Ann Stafford, by deed dated the 17th day of Janury [sic], Anno Domini 1857, granted and conveyed to Samuel Lowry.

Seized and taken in execution as the property of Samuel Lowry, at the suit of Mrs. Ann Stafford.

ALSO,

All the right, title, interest and claim of the defendants, Isabella McDowell and Jas. McDowell, of, in and to all that certain lot piece or parcel of ground situated on the east side of Poplar street in the Third ward of the city of Allegheny, being lot No. 91 in Hugh S. Fleming's plan of lots and bounded and described as follows: Beginning on the east side of Poplar street at the distance of eighty-three feet north of Hemlock street and running northwardly along Poplar street twenty-one feet to line of lot No. 8; thence eastwardly along the line of said lot sixty-four feet, more or less, to Samuel Kerr's line; thence southwardly along Samuel Kerr's line twenty-one feet to line of lot No. 10; thence westwardly along the line of lot No. 10 sixty four feet, more or less, to Poplar street, the place of beginning, being part of the same piece of ground conveyed to Hugh S. Fleming by deed from Hugh Fleming, recorded in the office for recording deeds in for [sic] the county of Allegheny, in deed book vol. 62, page 497, reference thereunto being had will at large appear. Also, that there is erected on the premises a two story frame dwelling house.

Seized and taken in execution as the property of Isabella McDowell and James McDowell, at the suit of of [sic] Hugh S. Fleming.

ALSO,

All the right, title, interest and claim of the defendant, Ludger W. Koelkenbeck, of, in and to all those four certain lots of ground situated in Reserve township, Allegheny county, Pennsylvania, numbered eleven, twelve, thirteen and fourteen in a plan of lots laid out by Adam Rineman [sic], recorded in the Recorder's office of said county, in plan book vol. 2, page 145, and bounded and described as follows, to wit: Beginning on the north side of Troy Hill road at the east corner of Koelkenbeck street; thence along said street north westwardly one hundred feet to Fremont alley; thence north eastwardly along said alley eighty-eight feet to lot No. ten; thence southeastwardly along said lot one hundred feet to Troy Hill Road; thence southwestwardly along said road eighty-eight feet to the place of beginning; being the same lots sold by Adam Reineman to said Ludger W. Koelkenbeck, by deed dated November 15, 1859, recorded in the Recorder's office in deed book vol. —, page —, said lots numbered 11 and 12 have thereon erected a two story dwelling house, (partly stone and partly frame—the front part frame,) and said lots Nos. 13 and 14 have thereon erected a one story frame cottage, with attic.

Seized and taken in execution as the property of Ludger W. Koelkenbeck, at the suit of Adam Reineman.

1st. All the right, title, interest, claim and demand of A. B. Curling and Edward Dithridge, surviving partners of the firm of Curling, Robertson & Co., and Morgan Robertson, late partner of said firm, dec'd, in the hands of his adminstrator [sic], George Watson, Jr., Esq., with notice to widow and heirs of said deceased, of, in and to all those certain nine (9) lots or pieces of ground situated in the Ninth (9) ward in the city of Pittsburgh, Allegheny county, Pennsylvania, said lots fronting on the eastwardly side of Penn street, and extending back to Spring alley, and numbered in Curling, Robertson & Co.'s plan of said lots, recorded in Recorder's office of said county in plan book vol. 2, page 160, respectively, five, (5) six, (6) seven, (7) eight, (8) nine, (9) ten, (10) eleven, (11) sixteen, (16) and seventeen, (17)—the said lots numbered 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 and eleven, (11,) each having a front on Penn street of twenty feet and extending back, preserving the same width, a distance of one hundred feet to Spring alley; said lot numbered 16 fronting twenty feet on Penn street, and extending back one hundred feet to Spring alley; said lot numbered 17 being a triangular lot fronting twenty-seven feet seven and one-half inches on Penn street. All of the above said lots being the same which were conveyed by Caroline Rippey, adm'x, and Jos. Albree, adm'r, of O. H. Rippey, deceased, to E. Simpson, Esq., in trust for said firm of Curling, Robertson & Co., by deed dated the 23d day of September, A. D. 1862, and recorded in Recorder's office, said county, in deed book vol. 158, page 176.

2d. All the right, title, interest, claim and demand of Alfred B. Curling and Morgan Robertson, dec'd, in the hands of his administrator, George Watson, Jr., Esq., with notice to widow and heirs of said deceased, of, in and to all that certain lot or piece of ground situated on the west side of Wood street at the corner of Front street in the First ward of the city of Pittsburgh, said county, being part of lot No. 186 in Wood's plan of said city—the said lot being bounded and described as follows: Beginning on the westwardly side of Wood street at the corner of Front street; thence extending in front on Wood street southwardly forty feet (40 feet) to property of Ellen Irwin, and in depth along Front street, preserving the same width, sixty feet (60 feet,) being the same lot of ground which Ann Matilda Irwin, by deed dated May 62 [sic], 1845; and recorded in Recorder's office of said county, in deed book vol. W, 2d, 70, page 435, granted and conveyed to A. B. Curling and Morgan Robertson, aforesaid; on which said lot are erected two (2) three story brick glass warehouses.

3d. All the right, title; interest, claim and demand of Morgan Robertson, dec'd, in hands of his administrator, Geo. Watson, Jr., Esq., with notice to widow and heirs of said deceased, of, in and to all that certain tract of land situate in and near to the borough of West Elizabeth, in the county of Allegheny and State of Pennsylvania, bounded and described as follows: On the north by the Monongahela river; on the south by land of William Chambers; on the east by land of Sampson Stilley; and on the west by land of William Chambers—the said tract of land containing forty acres, more or less; on which are erected one two story brick house, one log house, one frame barn, one frame stable and other buildings—the said land being of the same tract or piece of ground devised by Andrew Robertson, dec'd, by his last will and testament, dated the ⸻ day of ⸻ 18,⸺ and recorded in will book, vol. 2, page —, to the aforesaid Morgan Robertson, et. al.

4th. Also, all the right, title, interest, claim and demand of Morgan Robertson, dec'd, in the hands of his administrator, Geo. Watson, Jr., Esq., with notice to widow and heirs of said deceased, of, in and to all those three lots or pieces of ground, with appurtenances, situate in or adjoining the borough of West Elizabeth, in the county of Allegheny, said lots being described in tax assesment [sic] of said county as lots Nos. 1, Nos. 175 and 176.

5th. All the right, title, interest, claim and demand of Edward Dithridge, of, in and to all that certain piece of ground situate in Peebles township, Allegheny county, Pennsylvania, bounded and described as follows: Beginning at a pin on the line of a street forty feet wide and the Pennsylvania Railroad twenty-eight and one-half (28½) perches to the line of land of James Kelly; thence along the line of said land north 34° 54′ east eighty-five perches (85) to lot of thence along said line north 28° 29′ west to said forty feet street; thence along said street south 31° 31′ west twenty 35-100 perches to the railroad, the place of beginning; containing four acres (4 acres,) strict measure—being part of the same land which Henry Reis, by deed dated the day of A. D. 18, and recorded in deed book, vol. 95, page 450, granted and conveyed to the said Edward Dithridge.

6th. Also, all that certain tract of land situate in Wilkins township, in the county of Allegheny, and bounded and described as follows: Beginning at the corner of a street and the Greensburg Turnpike Road; thence along said street in a northerly direction seventy-one 660-1,000 (71 660-1,000) perches to the Pennsylvania Railroad; thence along the line of said railroad in an easterly direction twenty-seven 503-1,000 (27 503-1,000 p.) perches to the land owned by James Kelly; thence in a southerly direction sixty-three 425-1,000 perches (63 425-1,000 p.) to the Greensburg Turnpike Road; thence along said road in a westerly direction twenty-three 52-100 (23 52-100 p.) perches to the place of beginning—containing ten acres one hundred and eight 52-100 perches (10 a. 108 52-100 p.;) being the same piece or ground conveyed by Henry Reis to the said Edward Dithridge by deed dated May 12, 1851, and recorded in deed book, vol. 86, page 100.

7th. Also, all that tract of land situate in Peebles township, bounded and described as follows: Beginning at the Greensburg Turnpike Road at a pin and fence post north 28° 12′ east seventy-six 06-100 (76 06-100 p.) perches; thence by a curved line site of the Pennsylvania Railroad twenty-seven 74-100 (27 74-100 p.) perches to a street fifty (50 ft.) feet wide; thence along said street south 31° 31′ west seventy-two 308-1,000 perches to the Greensburg Turnpike Road; thence along said road north 66° 10′ west twenty-three 512-1,000 (23 512,1,000 p.) perches to the place of beginning; containing eleven acres and one hundred and forty-four 45-100 (11 a 144 45-100 p.) perches—being the same piece of ground which Henry Reis, by deed dated April 30, 1857, and recorded in deed book, vol. 97, page 142, granted and conveyed to the said Edward Dithridge.

8th. Also, all that lot of ground situate in Wilkins township, Allegheny county, or the same being sections Nos. 13, 14, 15 and 32 in Buchanan's plan of Braddocksfield, laid out on the bottom lands of Braddocksfield Farm, together with all and singular the portions of the Halket, Beaugan and Washington streets lying and being between said sections, bounded and described as follows: Beginning at a point on the south side of Braddock street at the distance of three hundred and seventy-five (375 ft.) feet from Shingiss street; thence eastwardly along said Braddock street three hundred and seventy five (375 ft.) feet to Aliquippa street; thence southwardly along said Aliquippa street seventeen hundred and thirty-eight feet (1738 feet,) more or less to the Monongahela river; thence westwardly along said river three hundred and seventy-five feet (375 ft.) to land of George C. Reis; thence westwardly along the line of said land seventeen hundred and sixteen feet (1716 ft.) more or less, to Braddock street, the place of beginning; containing fourteen acres and eighty perches (14 a. 80 p.)—being the same piece of ground conveyed to Geo. C. Reis, et. ux., to the said Edward Dithridge by deed dated June 30, 1851, and recordeded [sic] in deed book, vol. 96, page 539.

Seized and taken in execution as the property of Alfred B. Curling, Edward Dithridge, surviving partners of the late firm of Curling, Robertson & Co., and Morgan Robertson, late partner of said firm, deceased, in the hands of his administrator, Geo. Watson, Junior, Esquire, with notice to Antoinette Robertson, widow, and Frederick Robertson and Caroline Robertson, heirs and legal representatives of the said Morgan Robertson, deceased, at the suit of Edward Simpson and Joshua Hanna in trust for creditors.

ALSO,

All the right, title, interest and claim of the defendant, Wm. O. Leslie, of, in and to all that certain lot of ground situated in Linden Grove, in Pitt township, Allegheny county, Penn'a, bounded and described as follows, viz: Beginning on Ward street at the corner of lot No. 60 (sixty;) thence northwarthly [sic] along Ward street one hundred and twenty five (125) feet to the corner of lot No. 62 (sixty-two;) thence westwardly along the line of said lot number sixty-two (62) three hundred and fifty feet to Juliet street; thence southwardly along the line of said Juliet street one hundred and twenty-five feet to the corner of lot number sixty (60;) thence eastwarly [sic] along the line of lot No. 60 three hundred and fifty feet to Ward street, the place of beginning, containing one acre; being lot No. 61 in the plan of Linden Grove, as laid out for Wm. O. Leslie; said lot having thereon erected a two story frame dwelling house.

Seized and taken in execution as the property of Wm. O. Leslie, at the suit of John Wallace and Elizabeth W. Wallace, his wife, for use of said Elizabeth.

All the right, title, interest and claim of the defendant, James Howard, and James Howard, adm'r, cum test annexo of Levi Howard, deceased, of, in and to all that certain lot or tract of land situated in the reserve tract opposite Pittburgh [sic], adjoining lands of Dr. C. L. Armstrong and Alexander Young, and described as follows, viz: Beginning at a post on the Ohio river a corner of Dr. Armstrong's lot; thence along the line of said lot north 75¾ degrees east thirty eight perches to a post on Ferry Lane; thence along said lane south 14¾ degrees east 10¼ perches to a post; thence south 75¾ degrees west thirty-three perches to the Ohio river; thence along said river to the place of beginning, containing two and one-quarter acres—being part of a larger tract of land which by an order of the Orphan's Court of Allegheny county, was allotted to Margaret Park, heirs at law of John Park, who died intestate, as by decree of said Court, and the record of said partition and diagram, dated 11th February, A. D. 1825, and recorded in said county, in book F 2d, page 521, and said Margaret having intermarried with one Jonathan Kidd, the said Jonathan and Margaret, his wife, by deed dated 2d April, 1827, and recorded in said county, in book L 2d, page 121, &c., did grant and convey said allotment, of which the above described property in part to Alexander Young, who, by deed dated April 5th, 1832, and recorded in said county, in book L 2d, page 67, &c., granted and conveyed the same to Thomas Hinds and James Howard, one of the said parties of the first part, and the said Thos. Hinds, by his deed dated April 1st, 1839, and recorded in deed book, —, page —, conveyed his undivided one-half interest in the said property to Levi Howard, one of the said parties of the first part, reference to said records being had would more fully and at large appear.

Seized and taken in execution as the property of James Howard, and James Howard, adm'r, cum test annexo of the estate of Levi Howard, dec'd, at the suit of George E. McLain; now for use of J. Harvey Robinson.

All the right, title, interest and claim of the defendant, J. C. Rankin, of, in and to the following real estate, to wit: All that lot of land situated in the 6th ward of the city of Pittsburgh, the county of Allegheny, known as lot No. 3 in the sub-division of Irwin's plan, and fronting on Franklin street, whereon is erected a large brick building, occupied as a store-house and dwelling.

Also, All that lot of ground situated in Allegheny city, in said county of Allegheny, known as lot No. 55 in Wm. Robinson, Jr.'s plan of lots in the reserve tract, and fronting on Robinson street and adjoining property now or late of John Hamilton; said lot being 17 feet in front and 72 feet in depth, and also including a 4-foot alley extending to the canal; whereon is erected a good dwelling house.

Seized and taken in execution as the property of J. C. Rankin, at the suit of A. J. Oliver, for use of James Marshall.

All the right, title, interest and claim of the defendant, Michael Crawford, of, in and to all that certain lot or piece of ground situated in the city of Allegheny, Allegheny county, Pennsylvania, bounded and described as follows, to wit: Beginning on the west side of Federal street at the corner of Ledlie street; thence along Federal street southwardly 20 feet to the corner of lot No. 8 in said Davis' plan of lots; thence along the line of said lot No. 8 westwardly 100 feet to an alley 12 feet wide; thence along said alley northwardly 20 feet to Ledlie street; and thence along Ledlie street eastwardly 100 feet to Federal street at the place of beginning; being lot No. 9 in Hugh Davis' plan of lots; on which is erected a two-story brick dwelling house and out-buildings.

Seized and taken in execution as the property of Michael Crawford, at the suit of Samuel Clarke & Son.

All the right, title, interest and claim of the defendants, Sarah Jane Ray, now Sarah Jane Carr, of, in and to, or out of, all that certain lot or piece of ground situated in McClure (formerly Reserve) township, Allegheny county, Pennsylvania, being lot No. 203 in the reserve tract, and bounded on the north by lands of the devesees [sic] of Wm. Leckey, deceased; on the south by Back lane; on the east by lot No. 202 in said reserve tract; and on the west by lots Nos. 204 and 205 of said reserve tract, belonging to Thomas Bakewell, Esq., containing ten acres more or less, on which is erected a small log dwelling house, log barn stable, &c.

Seized and taken in execution as the property of Sarah Jane Ray, now Sarah Jane Carr, at the suit of John Nichols, for use of Caleb Russell.

All the right, title, interest and claim of the defendant, Anson P. Norton, of, in and to those two certain lots of ground, in Pitt township, Allegheny county, adjoining the 7th ward of the city of Pittsburgh, and marked and numbered in plan of lots laid out by James B. Irwin, and recorded in deed book volume 77, page 1, as lots numbered 78 and 74, and bounded as follows: Beginning on a street 40 feet wide at the corner of lot No. 72 120 feet to an alley 20 feet wide; thence along said alley parallel with the said 40 foot street 48 feet to the corner of lot No. 74; thence northwardly along the line of said lot No. 74 120 feet to the said 40 foot street; and thence along said street westwardly 48 feet to corner of lot No. 72, the place of beginning; being the same lots which James B. Irwin and Agnes M. Irwin, by deed dated 26th day of May, 1847, and recorded in volume 78, page 28, conveyed (inter alia) to said Anson P. Norton.

Also, On all the right, title and interest of the said Anson P. Norton in that certain lot of ground situated on Centre avenue, adjoining the 7th ward, Pittsburgh, marked and numbered in James B. Irwin's plan, recorded in volume 77, page 1, at the Recorder's office, of said county, as No. 64, and bounded as follows: Beginning at Centre avenue at the eastern corner of lot No. 63; thence southwardly along the line of lot No. 63 120 feet to a street 40 feet wide; thence eastwardly along said street 40 feet wide; thence eastwardly along said street 24 feet to lot No. 65 in said plan; thence northwardly along the line of said lot No. 65 120 feet to Centre avenue; and thence along said Centre avenue westwardly 24 feet to lot No. 63, the place of beginning; being same lot conveyed by said James B. Irwin and Agnes M. Irwin to said A. P. Norton, which deed is recorded in volume 78, page 27, at said Recorder's office.

Also, All the right, title and interest of Anson P. Norton in those 46 lots in Lower St. Clair township, Allegheny county, in John Brown's plan of lots in the manor of Pittsburgh, adjoining the borough of Birmingham, marked and numbered 48, 49, 50, 51, 52, 53, 54, 55, 56, 57, 58, 59, 60, 61, 62, 63, 64, 65, 66, 67, 68, 69, 70, (48 to 70 inclusive) 94, 95, 96, 97, 98, 99, 100, 101, 102, 103, 104, 105, 106, 107, 108, 109, 110, 111, 112, 113, 114, 115, 116, (94 to 116, inclusive,) being the same lots which Lewis Hall by his attorney in fact; and now W. Oliver, by deed dated 6th June, 1851, and recorded in volume 97, page 396, conveyed to said Anson P. Norton and Lewis Wade, the interest of said Norton therein being the undivided half part thereof, and the whole being jointly bounded as follows: Beginning at a corner of lot No. 97 of said plan on the southerly line of an alley 20 feet wide; thence westerly along said alley 462 feet 7½ inches to the line of lands of the Ormsby heirs; thence southerly along the line of said heirs 183 feet 6 inches to the Brownsville township road; was thence along said road south 53° 25′ east 272 feet 7½ inches to a post; thence continuing along said road south 59¾° east 209 feet to other lands of said John Brown; thence northerly in a strait [sic] line 306 feet 9 inches ot the place of beginning.

Bayard and others, containing 10 acres; whereon is erected a two story frame house, and frame stable.

Also, All those four lots of ground in the Seventh ward, in the city of Pittsburgh, numbered 163, 164, 165 and 166 in Colwell's plan each fronting twenty feet on Robert street, and extending back one hundred feet in depth.
