} Sci. Fa. sur mechanics' lien, No. 11, June term A D 1837

ALLEGHENY COUNTY, ss.

The commonwealth of Pennsylvania: to the Sheriff of Allegheny county, greeting: Whereas, John Laughlin hath filed a claim in our Court of Common Pleas, for the county of Allegheny, against Charles B. Taylor, for the sum of two thousands four hundreds and fifty dollars and seventy-three and one-half cents, for work and labor done, performed, and bestowed in and about the erection and construction of a certain building, to wit: that one story brick warehouse, situate in Denny's plan of town lots, in the city of Pittsburgh, leased to David Greer; the said warehouse being one hundred and sixty feet in front on the Pennsylvania Canal and Fountain street, and in depth one hundred and thirty feet front from the canal to Fountain street, bounded on the northeast by the lot and warehouse of the Union Transportation Line, on the northwest by the Pennsylvania Canal, on the southeast by Fountain street, and on the southwest by the other part of the same lot leased by said Taylor from David Greer, together with the lot on which said warehouse is erected: And, whereas, it is alleged that said sum still remains due and unpaid to the said John Laughlin. Now we command you that you make known to the said Charles B. Taylor, and to all such persons as may hold or occupy the said building, that they be and appear before the Judges of our said Court, at a Court of Common Pleas, to be held at Pittsburgh on the third Monday of June, instant, to show, if any thing they know or have to say, why the said sum of two thousands four hundreds and fifty dollars and seventy-three and a half cents should not be levied of said building to the use of the said John Laughlin, according to the form and effect of the act of Assembly in such case made and provided, if to them it shall seem expedient. And have you then there this writ.

Witness the Honorable T. B. Dallas, Esq., President of our said Court, at Pittsburgh, the 3d day of June, A. D. 1837.
