Ordinance No 1

Authorizing the issue of bonds amounting to the sum of Five thousand Dollars, for general Borough purposes.

Be it ordained and enacted by the Burgess and council of the Borough of Brushton, and it is hereby ordained and enacted by the authority of the same

Section 1 That the Borough treasurer be and he is hereby authorized and directed to prepare and issue coupon bonds in the name of the Borough Brushton to the amount of Five thousand Dollars in accordance ith the act of Assembly approved the 20th day of April 1874. The proceeds of said loan shall be used in the survey and preparation of a general plan of said borough, the establishment of grades of streets and general borough purposes.

Section 2 Said bonds shall be in such denominations as the Finance Committe [sic] may direct, not less than one hundred dollars each, payable annually as provided in said act, from the first day of July One thousand eight hundred and ninety, which shall be the date of said bonds, with interest at the rate five per centum payable semi-annually on the First of January and July in each year.

The principal and interest shall be payable at the Liberty National Bank of the City of Pittsburg.

Said bonds shall be signed by the Burgess, Countersigned by the clerk, and shall be sealed by the Burgess with the corporate seal of said Borough

Section 3.  Said bonds shall be sold by the borough treasurer, under the direction of the finance committe [sic]

Provided that none of said bonds shall be sold for less than the par value thereof
