AN ORDINANCE—Accepting the dedication of Aylesboro lane as laid out in the "Louette Plan of Lots" in the Fourteenth Ward of the City of Pittsburgh by Louis H. Harvey and Ethel Harvey for public highway purposes, opening and naming the same, fixing the width and position of the easterly sidewalks and the roadway thereof, with the provision for sloping and landscaping, establishing the grade thereof and accepting the grading, paving, curbing and sewering thereof.
Whereas, Louis H. Harvey and Ethel Harvey, the owners of certain property in the Fourteenth Ward of the City of Pittsburgh laid out in the "Louette Plan of Lots" of record in the Recorder's Office of Allegheny County in Plan Book Volume 52, Page 105, have located a certain Aylesboro Lane thereon and executed a certain Deed of Dedication on said Plan for all ground covered by said street to said City for public highway purposes; and
Whereas, Louis H. Harvey and Ethel Harvey have graded, paved, curbed and sewered the above named street at their own cost and expense; and
Whereas, It is desired that the City of Pittsburgh accept said street and improvements as part of the City's system of improved highways; Therefore,
The Council of the City of Pittsburgh hereby enacts as follows:
Section 1. That the dedication of Aylesboro Lane as laid out in the "Louette Plan of Lots" in the Fourteenth Ward of the City of Pittsburgh by Louis H. Harvey and Ethel Harvey in October, 1953, be and the same is hereby accepted.
Section 2. Aylesboro Lane as laid out in the "Louette Plan of Lots," as aforesaid dedicated to said City for public highway purposes, be and the same is hereby opened as a public highway and is hereby named "Aylesboro Lane."
Section 3. The width and position of the easterly sidewalk and the roadway be and the same are hereby fixed in conformity with the street as now improved, with provision for sloping and landscaping, as follows, to-wit:
The easterly sidewalk shall have a uniform width of 4.0 feet and shall lie west of and contiguous to the easterly line of the street.
The roadway shall have a general width of 20.0 feet and shall lie west of and contiguous to the above described easterly sidewalk.
The remaining portion of the street, lying without the lines of the easterly sidewalk and the roadway shall be used for sloping and landscaping.
Section 4. The grade of the center line of the roadway shall be and the same is hereby established in conformity with the grade of the street as now improved, as follows, to-wit:
Beginning at the northerly 12.0 foot line of Aylesboro avenue at an elevation of 1109.50 feet; thence rising by a concave parabolic curve having an apex elevation of 1109.50 feet for a distance of 30.0 feet to a point of tangent to an elevation of 1110.40 feet; thence rising at the rate of 6.0% for a distance of 35.0 feet to a point of curve to an elevation of 1112.50 feet; thence by a convex parabolic curve for a distance of 50.0 feet to a point of tangent to an elevation of 1114.50; thence rising at the rate of 2.0% for a distance of 126.0 feet to the northerly terminus of the roadway to an elevation of 1117.02 feet.
Section 5. The grading, paving, curbing and sewering of Aylesboro Lane be and the same are hereby accepted and declared to be public improvements of the City of Pittsburgh.
Section 6. That any Ordinance or part of Ordinance, conflicting with the provisions of this Ordinance, be and the same is hereby repealed so far as the same affects this Ordinance.
