AN ORDINANCE—Accepting as a city street Devonshire road, in the Fourteenth Ward of the City of Pittsburgh, from Fifth avenue to a point 384.66 feet southwardly therefrom and describing the grade thereof.
Section 1. Be it ordained and enacted by the City of Pittsburgh, in Council assembled, and it is hereby ordained and enacted by the authority of the same, That Devonshire road, in the Fourteenth Ward of the City of Pittsburgh, from Fifth avenue to a point 384.66 feet southwardly therefrom be and the same is hereby accepted as a highway of the City of Pittsburgh according to the following description and grade as described, to-wit:
Beginning on the southerly line of Fifth avenue distant south 87° 38′ west 357.39 feet from the westerly line of Morewood avenue; thence south 1° 48′ west 343.19 feet to a point of curve; thence in a southeasterly direction by the arc of a circle deflecting to the left with a radius of 15.0 feet for the distance of 23.56 feet; thence south 1° 48′ west 25.0 feet to the line dividing properties now or late of W. McK Reed and K. M. Edwards; thence along said dividing line south 87° 38′ west 41.11 feet; thence north 1° 48′ east 27.91 feet; thence in a northeasterly direction by the arc of a circle deflecting to the left normal to the last described course and having a radius of 5.0 feet for the distance of 7.85 feet to a point of tangent; thence north 1° 48′ east 351.75 feet to the southerly line of Fifth avenue; thence along the southerly line of Fifth avenue north 87° 38′ east 21.06 feet to the place of beginning.
The grade of the westerly line shall begin at the southerly curb line of Fifth avenue at the elevation of 214.30 feet (curb as set); thence rising at the rate of 2.0% for the distance of 10.0 feet to the southerly line of Fifth avenue to the elevation of 214.50 feet; thence rising at the rate of 5.94% for the distance of 120.0 feet to a point of curve to an elevation of 221.63 feet; thence by a convex parabolic curve for the distance of 100.0 feet to a point of tangent to the elevation of 224.90 feet; thence rising at the rate of 0.60% to the southerly terminus of Devonshire road.
Section 2. That any Ordinance or part of Ordinance, conflicting with the provisions of this Ordinance, be and the same is hereby repealed, so far as the same affects this Ordinance.
