AN ORDINANCE—Vacating a portion of Prospect street, in the Second ward of the City of Pittsburgh, from Bedford avenue to Bigelow boulevard.
Whereas, It appears by the petition and affidavit, on file in the office of the City Clerk, that the owners of all the property fronting or abutting upon the lines of a portion of Prospect street, from Bedford avenue to Bigelow boulevard, have petitioned the Council of the City of Pittsburgh, to enact an Ordinance for the vacation of the same; therefore,
Section 1. Be it ordained and enacted by the City of Pittsburgh, in Council assembled, and it is hereby ordained and enacted by the authority of the same, That the northeast twenty (20) feet of Prospect street, in the Second ward of the City of Pittsburgh, from Bedford avenue to Bigelow boulevard, as laid out in Harmar Denny's Plan of Town Lots, laid out April 26, 1834, and recorded in the Department of Public Works, Bureau of Engineering, in Plan Book, Vol. 4, page 49, and as hereinafter more fully described, shall be and the same are hereby vacated.
Beginning at the intersection of the northerly line of Bedford avenue with the easterly line of Hickory way, as shown on a plan laid out by Mrs. E. F. Denny, June 12, 1859, and recorded in the Department of Public Works, Bureau of Engineering, Plan Book, Vol. 2, page 95, said easterly line of Hickory way being the center line of the said Prospect street; thence in an easterly direction along the northerly line of Bedford avenue, for the distance of 25.86 feet, to the easterly line of Prospect street, as laid out in said Harmar Denny's Plan; thence deflecting to the left 129° 21′ and in a northerly direction along the easterly line of Prospect street, as laid out in said plan, for the distance of 39.86 feet to the southerly line of Bigelow boulevard; thence deflecting to the left 90° 55′ and in a southerly direction along the southerly line of Bigelow boulevard, for the distance of 20.02 feet to the easterly line of Hickory way; thence deflecting to the left 89° 05′ along the easterly line of Hickory way, for the distance of 23.15 feet to the place of beginning, containing 630.10 square feet.
Section 2. That any Ordinance or part of Ordinance conflicting with the provisions of this Ordinance be and the same is hereby repealed, so far as the same affects this Ordinance.
