AN ORDINANCE—Authorizing the acceptance of the grading, paving and curbing of Elgin avenue, from property line of John Fite to Negley avenue.

Whereas, The owners of property abutting on the line of Elgin avenue, between the property line of John Fite and Negley avenue, have at their own cost and expense graded, paved curbed said Elgin avenue, between the property line of John Fite and Negley avenue; and

Whereas, It appears by the petition and affidavit on file in the office of the City Clerks that the owners of property abutting on Elgin avenue, between the property line of John Fite and Negley avenue, have petitioned the Councils of the City of Pittsburgh, praying that the said improvement be accepted and taken charge of as other public improvements of the city.

Section 1. Be it ordained and enacted by the City of Pittsburgh in Select and Common Councils assembled, and it is hereby ordained and enacted by the authority of the same, That the improvement of the said Elgin avenue, between the property line of John Fite and Negley avenue, as made by the owners of the property abutting thereon, at their own cost and expense, be and the same is hereby accepted and declared to be a public improvement of the city, and the Department of Public Works is hereby authorized and directed to treat it as other improved public highways of the City of Pittsburgh.

Section 2. That any ordinance or part of ordinance, conflicting with the provisions of this ordinance, be and the same is hereby repealed, so far as the same affects this ordinance.
