NIPPING NIPPONESE—City Council took a couple of slaps at the Japs today. It voted to change the name of Tokyo St., which runs into Bennett St. beyond Brushton, to Tokay St., after residents made it known that the old name no longer was in good repute and that grapes grow on the surrounding hillsides. The street marker is shown at top. Councilman Thomas J. Gallagher followed with a suggestion that Japan Way, off Herron Ave. in Bloomfield, be changed to Panjap Way.
