NEW STREET NAMES.
Suggestions to the Residents of the Thirty-Seventh Ward.

Assistant City Clerk Gearing, who knows something of the difficulty of selecting suitable names for streets, has a suggestion to make to the people of the Thirty-seventh ward, formerly Brushton. The old borough council will wind up its business to-night, and until the councilmen are elected on December 18 the district will not have any government.

As soon as the new ward is represented in Pittsburg council a committee will be appointed to adopt new names for streets which are duplicates of the titles of city thoroughfares. As many changes are to be made, Clerk Gearing advises the property-owners of the new ward to select new names and sign petitions for their adoption. The petition can be presented to the councilmanic committee when it is appointed. This would save time and prevent confusion.
