DR. J. R. MORROW DIES OF STROKE

Dr. John Riddle Morrow, for 25 years president of the former Continental Trust Company of Pittsburgh, died late yesterday in the West Penn Hospital following a stroke in his Fourth avenue offices.

Dr. Morrow, who organized the Continental Trust Company in 1903, was president until its purchase in 1927 by the Peoples Savings and Trust Company. Since that time, he had given his entire attention to his private business affairs.

He was born in Hopewell Township, Beaver County, and was a graduate of Beaver High School and Geneva College. He received his doctor's degree from Jefferson Medical College in 1888, and began the practice of medicine in Jeannette, Pa. There he was president of the Jeannette National Bank and a member of the Borough Council. He moved to Pittsburgh in 1897.

Services will be held at his home, 6399 Morrowfield avenue, at 2 p. m. Saturday. Burial will be in Homewood Cemetery.

He leaves his wife, Mrs. Gertrude Sandels Morrow; a son, John Sandels Morrow; a daughter, Mrs. Wenman A. Hicks; a brother, Jesse H. Morrow; two sisters, Clara and Ola, and two grandchildren.
