Requiem high mass for Corporal Edward J. Mroz of 5227 Second avenue, Hazelwood, will be sung at 10 a. m. Friday, in St. Stephens Church, followed by military services at the grave in Calvary Cemetery. Corporal Mroz was killed in action on November 28, 1944, while serving with One Hundred and Fourth Infantry Division in Germany. Born in 1920, he was a graduate of Connelly High school and an employe of the Keystone Engineering Company before entering service in November, 1942. Surviving are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew D. Mroz; three brothers, Stanley, Michael and Emil Mroz, and one sister, Mrs. Cecelia Trena, all of Hazelwood. Friends will be received at Leo G. Sullivan's funeral home, 5128 Second avenue, Hazelwood, until Friday morning. Following mass, military services will be conducted by Fort Black Post 538, American Legion, and Post 274, Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p. m. Friday in the T. D. Turner funeral home, Wallace avenue, Wilkinsburg, for James A. West, 74, prominent building contractor, who died Tuesday night in West Penn Hospital. Born in Conneautville, Pa., Mr. West came to Pittsburgh in 1902 and became a partner with his father in the Chester West & Son Building Supply Company, Beechview. In 1912 the title was changed to the James A. West Company with headquarters in Squirrel Hill, and in 1930 Mr. West became associated with his sons, Franklin and Arthur West, in the West Realty Company in which he was active until his death. Mr. West built the Beechview Methodist Church, and with his sons constructed many homes in Squirrel Hill, the Blackridge development in Wilkinsburg, and Country Club Heights. He was a member of the Asbury Methodist Church and lived at 1031 Blackridge road, Wilkinsburg. Besides his sons he leaves his wife, Daisy Lawrence West; two daughters, Mrs. James R. Donaghue of Philadelphia and Mrs. W. S. Gearheart [sic]; a sister, Mrs. Ada Collins of Fairfield, Cal., and 11 grandchildren. Burial will be in Mt. Lebanon Cemetery.
High mass of requiem for Mrs. Elizabeth Estelle Geary of 1028 Misslin avenue, Wilkinsburg, will be sung at 10 a. m. Friday in St. James Church, Wilkinsburg. A life-long resident of the Pittsburgh district, Mrs. Geary died Tuesday in Mercy Hospital. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Catherine Mellon of Milwaukee, Wis.; two sisters, Miss Gertrude Murphy and Mrs. Josephine Hager; a brother, Robert Murphy, and three grandchildren. Friends are being received at the Knee funeral home, 512 Rebecca avenue, Wilkinsburg. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Penn avenue.

Mrs. Walter L. Hays, 57, Bannock, O., mother of Chairman Wayne L. Hays, Belmont county board of commissioners, Wheeling. She was born in Romney, W. Va.
Mrs. Isabelle C. Davis, 79, widow of John W. Davis, in Oil City. Four sons, two daughters, 14 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren survive.
Rinehard Sandrock, 94, lifelong Venango county resident, one time owner of a general store at Venus and for 40 years in the employ of the P. C. & E. R. Boyle families in Oil City, Pa.
Frederick C. Kerr, 45, residing between Bugtown and Enterprise, Venango county, Pa., of a heart attack.
Charles Stoke, 80, who lived with his daughter, Mrs. Elsie Tulloch, Route 3, Centerville, Pa.
Mrs. Sarah Elizabeth Lingo, 74, resident of Steuben township, Crawford county, in Titusville Hospital. She was active in the work of the Tryonville Evangelical Church.
Dr. Edgar Vance Thompson, 69, former Franklin physician, in Stoneboro, Pa. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Franklin and of Myrtle Lodge, No. 316, F. & A. M., there; also of Syria Mosque, Pittsburgh. A sister, Mrs. Bessie Bowmer, lives in Richmond, Ind.
S. Blaine Stine, 63, well known inventor and engineer unexpectedly in his Osceola Mills, Pa., home.
A. C. Talkington, 63, B. & O. shopman. He is survived by his widow, one son, a grandson, sister, Mrs. Ernna Bender, Pittsburgh, and Mrs. Frank Griffith, Clarksburg, and one brother, Roy, Wheeling, W. Va.
Bill Manley, Fairmont, W. Va., sportsman, 47. He is survived by his mother, Gertrude H. Manley; six sisters and four brothers.
John Morrison Dick, 79, Lycippus native, died at his home near Mt. Pleasant, Pa.
Albert J. Tullis, 62, garage employe, unexpectedly, of a heart ailment Tuesday night, in East Liverpool, O. His widow, Olive; three sons and two daughters survive.
John W. Fowler, 66, a pottery decorator and one-time building and loan company teller, in East Liverpool. O. His widow, Maud, and two sons survive.
Charles Horsefall, 74, a retired stonemason, in Lisbon, O. His widow, Mary, and a daughter survive.
Mrs. Sue Johnson, 86, mother of Ralph Johnson, director of instrumental music in the schools in East Liverpool, O., in Smethport, Pa., of injuries suffered in a fall. Five daughters also survive.
Sergeant George Cozma, 30, of Rogers, O., a World War II veteran, whose body has been returned from Europe. His widow, Jane, and a daughter, Helen, survive.
Mrs. Emma Taylor, 78, mother of Lloyd Taylor, principal of New Brighton High school, in Wanesburg, Pa.
Lester E. Zerbe, 61, railway station agent at Rice's Landing, Greene county.

Dr. George H. Hocking, 92, said by his colleagues to have been Maryland's oldest physician, in Baltimore. He had practiced a total of 67 years, 49 of them in Baltimore.
Captain Gerald J. Burke, 37, who was in command of the Grace liner Santa Anna, in Jersey City.
