District Court.—Judge Hampton on the Bench.
In the case of Shoenbergers vs. Miller & Co., the Jury found for the plaintiff, $1,721,04.
The jury in the case of Williams vs. African M. E. Church, were out at the adjournmnnt [sic] of Court.
Mrs. Ann Prenter, widow of William Prenter, vs. Pennsylvania Railroad Company. Action to recover for the death of her husband, caused by falling into an uncovered culvert at Denny's Sation, in March, 1855. The plaintiff claims that the Company should have had the culvert covered. The defendant urges that the deceased was an employee of the road and was aware of the condition of the culvert.
